im not hard on rappers with ghostwriters, im hard on the rappers with ghostwriters that take credit for the work and claim they are the best. Biggy had songs that were ghostwritten, he had a couple songs where jadakiss and mase had wrote his parts and they were dope.

you might look into being a real-estate broker or agent. you can train online from reputable universities. with your skills, you should be able to do just fine. you can sell antiques or unusual items on e-bay, or even do online stock trading. set your sights high.

There’s very little melody in rap vocals compared to other genres. Just having a good voice isn’t enough in hip hop.

Well you can always start your own business, but if your interested in working for someone else, you could always contact the local hospitals or clinincs and look into medical transcription. Pays good, u work your own hours and get to be home!

It would be like Odom scoring 50 points per game but the score keeper putting them in Kobe’s box score.

One guy is doing all of the work, the other gets the fame and money for no other reason than that he fits a look that the labels feel they can sell.

Rappers who get ghostwritten are the equivalent to Hannah Montana. All look, no talent.

cause you have to. f**k other genres we rep. hip-hop and in hiphop you have to do for self. why would somone sign you if you cant even pen your own lyrics, its bullshit. f**k all rappers with a ghostwriter, that proves they have NO talent

One of the key factors in the hip hop culture is originality. That’s not just with emceeing, it’s also the case with b-boying, DJing and graffiti. In each of those, originality is seen as incredibly vital. Anyone who doesn’t create their own work, or bites from someone else, is seen as less authentic.

Probably more so than any other genre, hip hop’s talent is based upon one’s ability to create their own work. In other genres, you can appreciate someone who has a great voice or is a talented musician. But when it comes to rapping, historically there has been less of a chasm between the best and the worst. Therefore, one of the distinguishing characteristics of someone to be great is an ability to create your own art.
